  Position:
QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR - METAL FABRICATION
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM
  Job Description:
Busy manufacturer and distributor of locomotive parts seeks associate for quality assurance role to perform inspection of manufactured and remanufactured goods. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform inspections of in-process, finished, or incoming products using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Document inspected products or materials in company database
  • Responsible for the calibration of devices and gauges utilized in inspection of products and materials 
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment, as needed
  Qualifications / 
  Requirements:
  • Understanding of manufactured drawings and GD&T
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in ERP Systems and QA Inspections
  • Experience using and calibrating measuring devices
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated and have good work ethic

  Position:
PRODUCT ENGINEER (Full-time) 
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM
  Job Description:
Product Engineers at PowerRail work directly with the production staff to create and improve locomotive parts for the rail industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain product part numbers and bill of materials in company database (Infor CSI/Syteline ERP system)
  • Develop detailed parametric models, assemblies, two-dimensional drawings, and renderings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Establish and maintain product design and drawing revisions
  • Review and analyze product specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data affecting component product designs, procedures and instructions to be followed
  • Aid in the identification and implementation of solutions to improve production efficiency
  • Coordinate with other engineers, as well as production, quality, sales, purchasing and marketing staff  
  • Aid in sourcing and verification of new products and prototypes
  • Establish product cost reports
  • Provide technical support to the quality assurance team
  Qualifications /
  Requirements:
  • Proficient in creating parametric models, assemblies and two-dimensional drawings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as basic understanding of ERP software systems. Infor CSI/Syteline experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T
  • Manufacturing (welding, machining, forming) and CMM experience is a PLUS
  • Self-driven, eager to learn new skills, highly motivated, creative and detail oriented
  • Possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

  Position:
DISTRIBUTION CENTER ASSOCIATE - PICKER/PACKER (Full-time)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM to 5:30PM 
  Job Description:
Busy Distribution Center seeks associate to cross-train in all aspects of distribution, including receiving items into inventory, both physically and electronically. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Select items to fulfill orders according to pick sheet
  • Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
  • Move product and inventory using a forklift, WAV or Walkie-Stacker, or by placing it on a cart to be pushed to the packing station
  • Inspect and report defective materials or questionable condition to the department supervisor 
  • Execute and document quality inspections per SOP 
  • Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and report discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Adhere to the appropriate work instructions in the completion of assigned duties
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Participate in required on the job training programs
  • Follow safety procedures in accordance with approved training and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately
  Qualifications / 
  Requirements: 
  • Computerized environment requires basic computer skills
  • Experience with inventory software preferred
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.

  • Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers
  • Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and/or cloths
  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments
  • Fabricate or form parts, coils, or structures according to specifications using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws
  • Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems
  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation, and record results
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified
  • Measure and adjust voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments
  • Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports
  • Distribute materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas
  • Pack finished assemblies for shipment and transport to storage areas using hoists or hand trucks
  Qualifications /
  Requirements:
  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with electrical components
  • Experience using power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

PowerRail is seeking an experienced IT Programmer/Analyst to support, monitor, and maintain core business applications using Microsoft.Net, Microsoft SQL Server, and other software applications, as well as to provide daily IT support tasks as needed within the PowerRail team of companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Work with end users and other IT staff to determine and document functional and technical specifications for potential solutions
  • Assist in researching, developing, augmenting, and implementing software systems to include writing of computer code and processing updates as needed
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive protection of company’s software systems from outside attack from viruses, malware, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining software usage logs, error logs and corrective action reports as needed
  • Promote and maintain the integrity of data in all PowerRail systems

  Requirements:

  • Disassemble each Core to be rebuilt and prepare each item for cleaning
  • Perform reconditioning of Core items by sandblasting components according to safety procedures
  • Perform quality assurance inspection of each part, noting any damage on appropriate paperwork

  Position:
MECHANIC / ELECTRICIAN / WELDER (Full-time) 
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM to 4PM
  Job Description:

Seeking full-time Mechanics, Electricians and Welders to work in busy locomotive repair shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

MECHANIC:

  • Assemble/disassemble parts as directed
  • Qualify mechanical devices in operation
  • Perform modifications as required
  • May assist electricians in performing electrical maintenance duties
  • Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment
  • Analyzing, testing and repairing mechanical systems
  • Inspect components to ensure each part is within specifications
  • Use micrometers, assorted hand, air and/or power tools, and specialized equipment to perform duties
            ELECTRICIAN:
  • Install and maintain wiring, control panels, and other electrical components as needed
  • Test and repair circuit connections
  • Inspect various locomotive parts, and report issues to GM when needed
  • Perform final inspection process to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Regulate and maintain storage batteries
  • Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform job duties
  • Adheres to appropriate work instructions in the completion of duties
  • Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when required
            WELDER:
  • AWS Certified D1.1-10 structural welding code - steel
  • Prep area to ensure it is clean and free of foreign matter before starting the welding process
  • Ensure proper safety equipment is worn
  • Set the regulator on the bottle, the voltage for the gun, and the speed for the wire
  • Perform MIG/Stick welding per customers specifications
  • Review welding procedure for number of welds and size
  • Review welding procedure preheating and type of rod for application
  • Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when required.
