  Job Description:
As the Materials & Production Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic Vendors and/or Subcontractors with the PowerRail network. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Nurturing Vendor and/or Subcontractor relationships
  • Working with internal functions to identify the work scope and material needs for specific jobs
  • Distributing RFP's to the Vendor and/or Subcontractor community
  • Placing orders/requisitions for finished assembly and sub-component material that is required at the Vendor/Subcontractor location
  Qualifications / 
  Requirements:
  • Up to 25% Travel Required - Homebase maybe in the Nashville, TN area
  • Strong networking skills and understanding of the product and supply base
  • Experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors and partners
  • Experience purchasing supplies and materials according to specifications
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • In depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge of Order Processing Systems, Database software and Internet/E-mail skills
  • Ability to work in PowerRail's main operating system - CSI/Syteline ERP system

  Position:
INSIDE SALES - MECHANICAL/INDUSTRIAL (Full-time)

  Job Description:
Support outside sales team, primarily by entering and updating data in company database. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Accurately and efficiently enter orders for items to be purchased via website, telephone, fax and e-mail
  • Clarify and fulfill customer requests/needs by presenting available selections of products and services with appropriate pricing and lead times
  • Understand and respond to customer delivery needs by interfacing with internal personnel

  Position:
PRODUCT ENGINEER (Full-time) 
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM
  Job Description:
Product Engineers at PowerRail work directly with the production staff to create and improve locomotive parts for the rail industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain product part numbers and bill of materials in company database (Infor CSI/Syteline ERP system)
  • Develop detailed parametric models, assemblies, two-dimensional drawings, and renderings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Establish and maintain product design and drawing revisions
  • Review and analyze product specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data affecting component product designs, procedures and instructions to be followed
  • Aid in the identification and implementation of solutions to improve production efficiency
  • Coordinate with other engineers, as well as production, quality, sales, purchasing and marketing staff  
  • Aid in sourcing and verification of new products and prototypes
  • Establish product cost reports
  • Provide technical support to the quality assurance team
  Qualifications /
  Requirements:
  • BS in engineering with preferred discipline in mechanical, design, manufacturing or industrial
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in creating parametric models, assemblies and two-dimensional drawings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as basic understanding of ERP software systems. Infor CSI/Syteline experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T
  • Manufacturing (welding, machining, forming) and CMM experience is a PLUS

  Position:
DISTRIBUTION CENTER RECEIVING CLERK (Full-time)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM to 5:30PM 
  Job Description:
Busy Distribution Center seeks associate to oversee the flow of incoming goods. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Receives and inspects incoming shipments and paperwork for discrepancies/damages and reports issues promptly to appropriate staff member
  • Performs data entry of pertinent information in the database for inventory control purposes
  • Stores materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and/or description by safely performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and stacking by hand, or safely using material handling equipment
  • Signs for incoming deliveries and unloads delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment, as needed
  • Maintains a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris
  • Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately
  Qualifications / 
  Requirements: 
  • Computerized inventory system requires basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.

Seeking a full-time MIG Welder/Metal Fabricator for high volume machine shop. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
  • Tack-weld fitted parts together
  • Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches
  • Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal

REMOTE MOBILE LOCOMOTIVE MECHANIC (Full-time) 
  Job Description:

Seeking a full-time experienced Locomotive Service Tech to travel to customer sites to perform maintenance, repairs and/or upgrades on locomotives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Repair, maintain and/or upgrade locomotives at customer sites
  • Communicate with Field Manager using cell phone and internet
  • Fill out work orders to document parts used and labor times for repairs completed
  • Drive service truck from home to service site and return to home
  • Keep service truck clean and fueled, and complete proper maintenance to keep service truck operational
  • Keep service truck parts inventoried and restock parts as needed, including having adequate parts that may be needed to complete repairs on site

  Job Description:

Seeking a full-time experienced Welder/Fabricator for a busy repair shop. We are a fast-growing business and need someone who can grow with us. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

WELDER:

  • Performs all welding under the direct supervision of a Certified Welder
  • Conforms to AWS Certified D1.1-10 structural welding code – steel
  • Preps area to ensure it is clean and free of foreign matter before the welding process begins
  • Ensure proper safety equipment is worn
  • Set the regulator on the bottle, voltage for gun, and speed for wire as directed by the Certified Welder
  • Performs MIG/Stick welding per specifications
  • Reviews welding procedure for number of welds and size
  • Reviews welding procedure preheating and type of rod for application
  • Perform daily service, cleaning and repairs of machines as needed
          FABRICATOR:
  • Repair and maintain equipment as directed
  • Assemble/disassemble parts as directed
  • Inspect components to ensure each part is within specifications
  • Use micrometers, assorted hand, air and/or power tools, and specialized equipment to perform duties
  • Follow proper safety precautions and ensure proper safety equipment is worn
  • Record necessary information as required
  • Load and offload trucks - NOTE: Will be trained and certified as a forklift operator
  • Perform daily cleanup of shop and will be responsible for the cleanliness of their own work area

  • Regulate and maintain storage batteries
  • Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform job duties
  • Adheres to appropriate work instructions in the completion of duties
  • Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when required

MECHANIC:

  • Qualify mechanical devices in operation
  • Perform modifications as required
  • May assist electricians in performing electrical maintenance duties

          TRUCK TEAM LEAD:

  • Manage inventory

  • Understand and plan accordingly for all PO/Customer ship dates
  • Maintain necessary equipment used in the day-to-day process for truck builds
  • Communicate with the team to get the most productivity
